A word from the head tutor
I'm Mr Yari, the head tutor at understandphysics.co.uk. I work online with students from university level all the way down to A-levels and GCSE's to help them build the skills necessary to ace their exams as well as fundamentally understand their required level of physics. I've been tutoring students since my time at university over 6 years ago. I received my degree in physics from the university of Nottingham and I specialised in wave mechanics.
My approach relies heavily on exam practice and through questions I guide my students to derive the specific physics principles that need to be understood in a given topic. My pupils currently range from university engineering students - seeking help in modules like "Engineering Science", "Fourier Series" and "Operating Systems and Boolean Logic" - to students in secondary school preparing for their GCSE's.
Physics is a subject which may seem challenging at first but with the right guidance and seen through the right lens, it can be fairly straightforward. I don't think location needs to be an issue if you’re struggling with understanding physics. I consider online tuition an excellent solution offered to students by today's technology. My students and I use web-based tools in our lessons, where we can both see my screen and any documents which we work through together. Each lesson is as interactive as if the student and I were in the same room!
Beyond physics tuition, I like to travel. I am now based in the beautiful city of KL, Malaysia. I also enjoy playing chess, studying languages and reading history.
